The Renovation…
This master bathroom was a unique design opportunity. The layout was an unusual L-shape and we didn’t have the ability to take space from another area of the home to create a bigger bathroom, so we got creative with our design to make this a spa-like getaway for the homeowner.
We swapped out the orange tiles for a natural-linen look floor tile that we ran up the walls as a wainscot by the toilet and tub; we replaced the single-sink vanity for a more modern double vanity in a dark wood with a white quartz countertop; LED lighted vanity mirrors ensures getting ready is a breeze; we replaced the dated jet tub with a deep soaking tub with luxurious floor mounted faucet that harkens to a period of years gone by.
For the shower, we used spa-like pebble floors to gently massage feet and added a modern steam shower system (which includes party lights and sound system!), surely a luxury us Montanans can appreciate during the long cold winters.
Additionally, we replaced the clear glass window (which looked into a neighbor’s yard) with a “rain” glass window to offer a bit more privacy while maintaining the natural light. The small adjoining closet (not shown) was fitted with a new custom organization system to maximize storage space for the homeowner. This bathroom is a spa-like retreat, just off the master bedroom!
